War returns to Cybertron in the Transformers Comics event in 2022

Cybertron, the home planet of Transformers, will fall into war again in 2022. The event series Transformers: The end of the war-the embers of the previous war are on fire again, but in the era of the slow rise of Megatron and Decepticons.

Scheduled to debut in February 2022 and publish four monthly magazines, Transformers: The End of War will run side by side and be in the same continuous era as the main ongoing Transformers comic series, both by IDW’s long-term chief writer of Transformers Written by Brian Lakley. He will join the ranks of Transformers artist Jack Lawrence, who has just emerged from the current Transformers: Wreckers-Tread & Circuits limited series.

"The end of the war is about unfinished business: for the characters and Cybertron as a whole," Luckley said. "This is the return of Cybertron's traumatic past to subvert its present... and answers the question: If the core of your planet is the collective spark of your entire civilization, how vulnerable will it make you? "

Transformers: The end of the war is in some ways a sequel or sequel to the War of the Triple Sparks. This is part of Cybertron’s history. The Transformers in Rakley’s operation in 2019 refers to the past tense, which itself is Past.

The initiator of the War of Triple Sparks is the transformer Exarchon, who once loved peace. He returned from a short trip to outer space and mysteriously changed his desire for war. He tried to conquer and rule Cybertron with an iron fist, but was eventually stopped by the army led by Altmagnus, the young Megatron, Cyclonus, Orion Parkes, and Arce. The war-and its aftermath-in some ways led to the formation of the Decepticon faction and later the Autobot faction in Transformers society.

Although Exarchon was defeated, he was not killed or even imprisoned—he just disappeared. Now in "Transformers: The End of the War" which started in February 2022, he is back for revenge-he has the help of his former generals Shockwave and Skywarp.

But since the first war, one major event has changed; although Megatron helped fight Exarchon at the time, in this story, he is getting older and is embarking on the evil conspiracy he formed with the Decepticons. the way.

"So far, my Transformers works have been post-war or pre-war works, so at the end of the war, I am very happy to contribute to the Cybertronian War itself," Lawrence said. "Understandably, this story is darker and tougher than my previous work, so I look forward to its dark and ominous."

"Transformers: The End of War" is described by IDW editor David Marriott as the interweaving of the past, present, and future of Transformers that he, Rakley, and IDW have been building since 2019.

Transformers: The End of the World #1 will be on sale in February 2022, with cover by Angel Hernandez, Lawrence and EJ Su.

You will find "Transformers: The End of the World" on digital platforms and in your local comic shop, which will start in February 2022.
